Summary
Although water in Africa's ancient southwest corner is in short supply, the deserts remain full of life. This program takes a special look at how creatures living in the Kalahari have become masters at adapting. The extreme danger of the Kalahari manifests itself as viewers witnesses the most violent giraffe fight ever filmed. Clever meerkats are outsmarted by an even more clever bird, which mimics the meerkats' calls and robs their food. Black rhinos, ordinarily very stubborn and solitary animals, gather at the last great watering hole for a surprisingly social gathering that sheds new light on one of the world's most endangered creatures. NOTE: Program content portrays animals in their natural environment and may be disturbing or inappropriate for some. Preview before showing.
